Brief

This Sunday, 01st January 2012 (New Years Day), we’ll do a two-boot walk in the South Eastern part of Hong Kong Island.
Walk Leader: Francis

Itinerary

To celebrate the New Year, I am organising a two-boot walk on Hong Kong Island this Sunday, 1st January 2012.  We’ll meet at 11.00 a.m. at the Hang Seng minibank inside Heng Fa Chuen MTR Station (on the MTR Island Line).

2.     From near the MTR Station we’ll climb Lei Yue Mun Shan (188m) and then descend the Shan to Chai Wan Road but before long we’ll climb again this time up Mount Parker to Tai Fung Au (417m). From the Au we’ll walk to Violet Hill (436m) and from there further on to Wong Nai Chung and on and on to Stanley to finish our walk there.

This is a fairly easy hike and early exit is possible- if you need time to prepare for a New Year party in the night.

Thanks Ken for writing the walk report. Now I wish I was able to make it.
