Brief

Sai Kung Bus Terminus (10:30am)  > Pak Tam Au > Chek Keng > East Dragon's Back > Ko Lau Wan > Wong Shek Pier

Itinerary

This Sunday, April 2, 2017, the trampers are going to have an easy one boot walk at Sai Kung East Country Park.

We will meet at Sai Kung Bus Terminus (no. 94 bus stop) at 10:30am and will take bus 94 directly to Pak Tam Au to start the walk.  From there, we will walk along the concrete path to Chek Keng where provide a beautiful view of the Long Harbour.  After descending to the coast at Chek Keng, we will traverse through the bushes and go uphill.  Thereafter, acrossing the plateau over the East Dragon's Back toward the east direction.  We will gently descend to Ko Lau Wan where is a small fishing village and end the walk there.  Of course, we need to take the ferry or water taxi back to Wong Shek Pier for buses returning to Sai Kung Town Centre or Diamond Hill MTR.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears withat least 1.5 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, wind breaker, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
