Sai Wan Ho MTR Station ( exit B at 10:30am)  > Shaukeiwan Service Reservoir Playground > Hong Pak Country Trail > "General Rock" > Mount Parker (532m) > Quarry Gap (Tai Fung Au) > Mount Butler (371m) > Braemar Hill

Itinerary

This Sunday, February 26, the trampers are going to have a 2-boot walk for "General Rock" at Tai Tam Country Park.

We will meet at 10:30am outside the turnstile of exit B at Sai Wan Ho MTR Station and then from the MTR Station, we will start our walk heading to the Shaukeiwan Service Reservoir Playground.  Taking the dirt path of Hong Pak Country Trail, we will visit the General Rock where located on the slope down below the Mount Parker.  After climbing up to Mount Parker at the height of 532m, we will follow the paved road descending to Quarry Gap (Tai Fung Au) and we will end the walk at Braemar Hill through Mount Butler.  Over there, bus and mini bus will be available.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears withat least 1.5 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, wind breaker, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
