Itinerary

This Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, the trampers are going to have a two-boot walk especially for "Moon Gully" and exploring the firing range at Tuen Mun again.

We will meet at 9:30am, outside the turnstile of exit B2, Siu Hong MTR Station (West Rail Line) and will switch over to Light Rail for Leung King Station OR sharing taxi directly to commence our walk.  In the first leg, we will take a paved road ascending to Leung King Au and start to follow a loose gravel path until reaching the top of a steep hill close to the Tsing Shan Firing Range.  (Strongly advise that DO NOT PCIK UP ANY METAL PART OR EVEN ANYTHING in this area)  Over there, we will follow the Qing Dai Stream to hit the "Moon Gully" where is formed from serious erosion and became a steep ravine.  Please be aware of slippery slopes and make sure if your hiking shoes are with good grip or not.  Keep moving, we will meet a funny "Bread Rock" as well.  On the last leg, we will take the Fa Long Acient Trail and end the walk at Lung Kwu Tan where bus K52 is available for Tuen Mun MTR.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears withat least 2.0 litres of water, lunch, snacks, umbrella, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
