Siu Hong MTR (11:00am) > Leung King Estate > Leung King Au > Por Lo Shan > Lim Wan Road > Ha Pak Nai

This Sunday, January 8, 2017, the trampers are going to have an easy one boot walk but exploring the firing range at Tuen Mun.  Over there, we not only could visit the Mini Grand Canyon but also enjoy the beautiful sunset at one of the most famous spots in Hong Kong - Ha Pak Nai.

We will meet at 11:00am, outside the turnstile of exit B2, Siu Hong MTR Station (West Rail Line) and will switch over to Light Rail for Leung King Station OR sharing taxi directly to commence our walk.  In the first leg, we will take a paved road ascending to Leung King Au and start to follow a loose gravel path until reaching the top of a steep hill close to the Tsing Shan Firing Range.  (Strongly advise that DO NOT PCIK UP ANY METAL PART OR EVEN ANYTHING in this area)

After the lunch break with an amazing panoramic view, we will turn to the north direction and descend to Nim Wan Raod through the Mini Grand Canyon (Hiking shoes with good grip due to slippery sandy slopes).  Keep moving to the sea coast, we will arrive at the famous beach at Ha Pak Nai where we could capture some great photos of sunset.  Of course, it will be the end of our walk and mini bus will be ready for us returning to MTR Station.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears withat least 1.5 litres of water, lunch, snacks, umbrella, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
