Itinerary

This Sunday, December 11, 2016, the trampers are going to have an easy one boot walk on Tiger Head, Discovery Bay at Lantau Island.

We will meet at 10:00am, outside the turnstile of exit B, Tung Chung MTR Station and will share bus DB01R directly to the Discovery Bay Road to commence our walk.  In the first leg, we will take a steep slope starting from almost the sea level and head up to Tiger Head (Lo Fu Tau) at the height of about 465m.  Over there, we will be rewarded with a panoramic view of Discovery Bay.  Along the gentle slope descending towards Mong To Au, we could enjoy the golden grass fields overspreading the ridge and some kinds of amazing rock formation such as Sword testing rock, Tortoise rock and Peach rock.  Once we hit the Olympic Trail, we will make a left turn and keep descending to Mui Wo direction.  After passing the waterfall, we will be almost there at Mui Wo and finish the walk.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears withat least 1 litre of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
