Itinerary

This Sunday, December 18, 2016, the trampers are going to have a three boots walk for the beautiful Shek Uk Shan and this is the highest spur (481m) in Sai Kung Peninsula.  On the top of the peak, there is not only a radio station and a helipad but also a panoramic view of Tolo Channel.

We will meet at 10:00am at the 7.11 Convenience Store (next to bus terminus) at Sai Kung Town Center.  We will take the mini bus (to Hoi Ha) or share taxi directly to Hoi Ha Road where closes to Lo Fu Kei Shek to start the walk.  Following the dirt path, we will ascend to Shek Uk Shan with the height of 481m.  After enjoying the fascinating view, we will descend to Cheung Sheung where we could take a chance to taste the famous soybean pudding.  Keep moving towards Ngam Tau Shan (452m), we will hit Ngau Yee Shek Shan.  Over there, we will make a right turn going downhill via a steep slope to Tsak Yue Wu, then Pak Tam Chung to end the walk.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears with 2 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray (but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
