Itinerary

Sunday May 29th The Trampers will be doing the first stream walk of the season at a relatively easy Ma Da Stream in Ma On Shan district.

We shall meet 11:00AM at Tai Shui Hang MTR exit B (10 minutes waiting) on the Ma On Shan (brown) MTR line. A short walk warming up in the heat we enter the stream, then soon cooling down ourselves in the beautiful rock pools and waterfalls. Lunch break and longer stop at the Hero's Fall (3M deep pool), the team continue the stream walk to Ma On Shan village. Team may change to dry clothing at the public washroom before walking downhill to the Hang On MTR station.

Once we reach the Hero's Fall, the team may take an optional walk to the hill for a paranomic view of Ma On Shan and Tolo Harbor while some others are taking lunch at the pool. At the end of the walk, those who prefer extra workout may also continue hiking the country trails.

Warnings - Rock scrambling, walking on moss-covered wet slippery surfaces, good balancing skills, being cautious to your own safety and team work will be required.

Suggest to Bring - 2 litres of water/energy drink, lunch, snacks, fruits, rain gear, flashlight, hat, sunblock, gloves, insect repellent, towel, extra clothing, First-Aid Kit. If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled. If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
