Brief

Sai Kung Town Bus Terminus (10:00am) > East Dam of High Island Reservoir > Long Ke Wan > Sai Wan Shan (314m) > Sai Wan > Ham Tin Wan > Tai Long Au > Chek Keng > Pak Tam Au

Itinerary

This Sunday, May 22, 2016, the Trampers are going to have a two boots walk on MacLehose Trail Section 2 at the Sai Kung East Country Park.  We will meet at 10:00am at Sai Kung Town Bus Terminus (close to Seven Eleven Convenience Store).  Then we will share taxi directly to the East Dam of High Island Reservoir where is the famous location in the Hong Kong Global Geopark of China.  Following exactly the MacLehose Trail Section 2, we will have a bird’s eye view of Long Ke Wan before descending to the beach.  Taking some steps from the beach, we will head up to Sai Wan Shan at the height of 314m where we could have a panoramic view of Tai Long Wan including Sai Wan, Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan, Tung Wan . . . . . 

After passing through the beautiful beaches of Sai Wan, Ham Tin Wan, we will ascend to Tai Long Au, then to Chek Keng and end the walk at Pak Tam Au.

 

Please show up in full gears with 2 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
