This Sunday, May 1, 2016, the trampers will get together to celebrate the International Workers’ Day (May Day or Labour Day) by cleaning up trash along the hiking trail.  Therefore, please join and equip with trash bags and your gloves.  Try to keep the trail clean as it should be.

We will meet at 9:30am outside the turnstile of Tai Po Market MTR Station, near the customer service centre.  From the MTR station, we will take transport either to Bride's Pool or Wu Kau Tang to start the walk.  We will head up to Kwun Yam Tung via Kau Tam Tso and Ha Miu Tin.  Overlooking the Plover Cove Reservoir and Yan Chau Tong Marine Park, we will keep going to Luk Wu Tung.  Just about one more km towards Wong Chuk Kok Tsui direction, we will hit a steep valley and a tiny stream where we will follow it all the way down to the sea coast at Wu Chau Tong.   Then Tong Pai Tau will be right at the corner and obviously, the reddist coastline shows us where we are - The Red Stone Gate.  After lunch break, we will head up to the country trail near Hung Shek Mun Au and end up at Wu Kau Tang.

Bushwhacking and good balancing skill will be required.  Please show up in full gears with2 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, a torch, sun block, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
