Itinerary

This Sunday, April 17, 2016, trampers will have a Half Boot Walk on Hong Kong Island due to the unstable weather condition.  So, please make sure you will come with your rain gear or umbrella.  We will meet at 10:00am, Wan Chai MTR Station (Island line), just outside the turnstile near the Customer Service / Ticketing Office.  From the MTR station, we will take the bus no. 6 or 61 to Wong Nai Chung Gap to start the walk.  Actually, we will take the stage 1 of Wilson Trail directly to Stanley.  After getting off the bus, we will ascend straight up to Violet Hill at the height of 400m through Wong Nai Chung Reservoir and Hong Kong Parkview.  From the hill top, we will follow the favourite path descending to Tsin Shui Wan Au (Repulse Bay Gap).  Over there, we need to take the thousands steps up to the double hill which is known as "The Twins".  All of us then will have a fantastic view of Stanley peninsula until we reach Stanley Gap Road where we will end the walk.  Buses will be available for Wan Chai, Central and Aberdeen.

Please show up in full gears with 1 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, gloves and mos-spray(but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
