Route: Sai Wan Pavilion > Sai Wan Beach > Tai Mun Shan > Tai Long Au > Chek Keng > (1)  Pak Tam Au or (2) Wong Shek Pier or (3) Ma Liu Shui

This Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, Trampers will start the first walk at the year of Monkey.  We will meet at 9:30am at the Bus Terminus of Sai Kung Town City (Trampers’ Hotline 8209 0517) and will take the mini bus directly to Sai Wan Pavilion to commence the walk.  After following the concrete path down to Sai Wan Beach, we will take the dirt path heading up to Tai Mun Shan (370m).  Of course, little bushwhacking and climb will get involve in order to fit for the new year of Monkey.  During ascending to Tai Mun Shan, we not only enjoy the panoramic view of the long coastal line but also appreciate the famous blossoms (for Chinese New Year) – Hanging Bell Shaped Flowers.  After reaching the top of Tai Mun Shan, we will descend to Tai Long Au then to Chek Keng.  Overthere, we will have 3 options to end the walk (depends on time of arrival at Chek Keng).

1.) keep moving and head up to Pak Tam Au for bus to Sai Kung or Diamond Hill

2.) instead of going uphill to Pak Tam Au, just take the ferry back to Wong Shek Pier for bus to Sai Kung or Diamond Hill

3.) or take the ferry back to Ma Liu Shui where the University MTR Station is.

So, please show up in full gears with2 litres of water, lunch, snacks, rain wear, a torch and gloves (but no cigarette).  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
