A over 3.5 BOOT long distance hiking route is proposed for 4 October 2015 in Plover Cove Country Park [船灣郊野公園] .

We will meet at 8:30 am (please note the early starting time) at MTR East Rail Tai Po Market Station [大埔墟站] customer service centre and travel to Wu Kau Tang [烏蛟騰] either by mini-bus or sharing of taxi. Then we will pass various hills, ovelooking the Plover Cove Reservoir [ 船灣淡水湖] and Yan Chau Tong Marine Park [印洲塘海岸公園].  From Luk Wu Tung [鹿湖峒], we will continue to Wong Chuk Kok Tsui [黃竹角咀], return and continue to the main dam at Tai Mei Tuk [大尾督].

Early exit will NOT be available .

The hiking is, by Trampers standard, rated as above 3-boots and involves long distance of about 25 km and 7-8 hours walk.  It is suggested that only experienced hikers shall participate.

Please bring the usual stuff plus pair of thick gloves and long trousers as some bushwhacking will be involved .  Short pants are OK for the first leg from Wu Kau Tang to Luk Wu Tung.   Weather forecast is mainly cloudy with a few showers, and sunny intervals during the date with temperature of 28-32 degC .  So plenty of water, hat, gloves, sun block, head lamps and torch and clothes to change etc are essential.

In case of doubt, please call Trampers hot line 82090517 in the morning of 4 October 2015.
