People join this walk at their own risks. I shall not be held responsible in any way for any injury or death incurred or any loss or damage to personal property caused due to whatever causes including, but not limited to, negligence, neglect, errors of judgment and inadequate orientation skill on my part. The fact that you show up at the time and place on the day to join the walk is an implication that you have agreed to and accepted unconditionally this disclaimer.

Warning:  This stream trekking is really a 3 boot hike (maximum rating in Trampers), exclusively intended for seasoned hikers with good experience in rock climbing, hopping across large boulders, and bush whacking. They join the hike at their own risk and shall not be afraid of rock cliff climbing / height / bush whacking.  Pair of gloves, long trousers and shoes/sandals with non-slip soles are required.

This Sunday, the Trampers will have a hard 3 bootstream trekking in Lantau Island. This is an exploration hike as all interested participants have never been here and will jointly help each other navigate.  Do not sign up if you have other appointments planned or have concerns of getting lost.

We will meet at 9:15am (plus 10 minute waiting)- Tung Chung MTR Station [東涌站] Concourse at exit B.

From Tung Chung, we take Bus 3M, heading for Mui Wo. We will leave the bus at Pui O to start the stream trekking. We will continue going up the stream and pass the South Lantau Country Trail. This trail is the only early exit available.

More exciting climbing will follow until we reach the Section 2 of the Lantau Trail, which concludes the stream walk part of the hike.

From then, we will descend to Tung Chung via the Wong Lung Hang Country Trail and will arrive Tung Chung before having dinner.

So please come only if you are a fit and experienced stream trekker and bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, non-slip sole shoes, gloves and a hat, torch/headlamp, as well as mosquito repellent.  Also, bring some lunch for along the way.

If it is raining or threatening to rain, the walk will still go ahead but we may change the route accordingly.  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call the hot line 8209-0517.
