People join this walk and any other walks organised by me, or via HK Trampers, at their own risks. Neither the walk organiser, nor HK Trampers, nor anyone involved with HK Trampers, shall be held responsible in any way for any injury, death or loss incurred, or for damage to personal property caused due to whatever causes including, but not limited to, negligence, neglect, errors of judgement and inadequate orientation skills on the part of the walk organiser, HK Trampers, or anyone involved with HK Trampers.  Any parties who show up at the time and place on the day to join the walk will be deemed to have agreed to and unconditionally accepted this disclaimer.

1.   This Sunday,7th September 2014, we’ll do a walk in two streams in Tai Tam area.  We’ll meet at 10.00 a.m. at Exit A inside Sai Wan Ho MTR station (on the MTR Island Line).

2.     From the MTR station, we’ll take the bus to Tai Tam where we’ll start the stream walk.   We’ll walk in the stream (up-stream in north-westerly direction) which flows into Tai Tam Bay until we are near the top of Lo Fu Shan.

3.     On the Shan we’ll try and find a dirt trial in the forest to connect to another stream, and we’ll walk in this second stream (this time down-stream in a north-easterly direction) which feeds water into Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir.   We’ll eventually hit Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir to end the day’s walk, and take transport back to Sai Wan Ho.

4.     Rock pools dot along the streams.  If you want a dip to cool off your body, bring your water gear.

5.     Be forewarned that stream walk is slippery and you should wear skid-resistant shoes.  One good brand is ‘5.10’, and it seems it is only available in one shop in Hong Kong.  If you need further information on skid-resistant shoes, please call the Trampers hotline below.

6.      Bring all the usual things, a lunch, enough water, a torch, sun block, mos spray and if weather looks dodgy, rain gear.

7.     If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk might be cancelled. If in doubt, call the Trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.

8.     Please scroll down and read the Disclaimer below again.
