We will meet at 10:30am - Tung Chung MTR Station Concourse at exit B.

It will take us around an hour to walk to the base of the Kau Nga Leng (West) ridge after departing from the bus (somewhere near Shek Pik Reservior) and another hour or so to complete the upward climb along the ridge.  It will not be an easy walk due to the uneven and sometime hair-thin terrain as well as the altitude.  We will continue to the summit  of the Lantau Peak. Afterwards we will descend and end the walk at Pak Kung Au.

Early exit is possible to Ngon Ping (the Big Buddha).

Please be alerted that this is a strenuous hike and is not suitable for casual hiker.  Do come prepared and bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, snacks and lunch, a torch, gloves, a hat, umbrella/rain gear, good shoes, a map of the area, etc.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), we may change our route where appropriate.  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517.
