We will meet at 10:00am - Tung Chung MTR Station Concourse at exit B.

We will take a bus and depart somewhere near Shek Pik Reservoir and walk along the water catchment forming part of Lantau Trail Section 8. After the Camp site at Tai Long Wan, we will start the coastal trekking along Pak Kok.

Then we will copntinue to Fan Lau  after Kau Ling Chung. Depending on time, we will end the walk at Tai O using Lantau Trail Section 7(distance of about 11 km.) or return to Shek Pik Reservoir [see early exit below].

Please see link for previous hikers experience. It is estimated that it is low tide when we do the coastal trekking. However it is expected that you may still get your feet wet and have to wade in seawater. Hence please use non-slippery stream trekking shoes.

Early exit is possible after Kau Ling Chung and return to Shek Pik Reservoir through Lantau Trail Section 8.

Please be alerted that this is a strenuous hike and is not suitable for casual hiker.  Do come prepared and bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, snacks and lunch, a torch, thick gloves, a hat, umbrella/rain gear, good non-slippery shoes, a map of the area etc.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), we may change our route where appropriate.  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517.
