This Sunday 12 May, the Trampers will have another stream trekking in Sai Kung West Country Park.

We will meet at 10:15am at University Railway Station Concourse exit B, near the Customer service area.

From University Station, we take maxicab 807B, heading for Sai Kung. We will disembark at Shui Long Wo [水浪窩] and walk towards Yung Shue O [榕樹澳to start the stream trekking.  We will continue going up the stream for about 3-4 hours until we reach Kai Kung Shan [雞公山頂] on Maclehose Trail Section 3.

After the stream, we will descend to Shui Long Wo [水浪窩] from Kai Kung Shan [雞公山頂] via Section 3 of the Maclehose Trail and we will arrive Shui Long Wo [水浪窩] at around 4:00 pm.

As weather forecast is for raining on 12 May 2013, swimming in pools may not be desirable.

Please bring the usual gears, head lamps, 1.5L water, lunch, long trousers, mosquito repellent and clothes to change.

For stream trekking, I strongly recommand bringing along sturdy gloves and non-slippery shoes (i.e. stream trekking shoes but not running shoes).

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), we may change our route where appropriate.  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call Trampers hotline at 8209-0517.
