This hike involves some rock climbing, hopping across large boulders and bush whacking.  A pair of gloves, long trousers as well as headlamp / torch are essential.

Please assemble at 11:00am, Shau Kei Wan MTR Station Concourse (outside the turnstiles).  We will take Bus No. 9 to Tai Tam Gap and hike up to the very scenic ridge of the Dragon's Back.  When tramping along this ridge, you will have the best view of the Big Wave Bay and Shek O Beach, weather permitting.  At the end of the ridge, we will turn and visit the Hok Tsui boulders where we will enter into an underground cave then climbing up a boulder to the peak of Mt. D'aguilar. For those who do not want to climb, early exit is available before Hok Tsui by bus no. 9 back to Shau Kei Wan.

We will finish our hike at Shek O Beach.  You can stay behind for a swim and we will have an early dinner at 5:00 pm in a Thai Restaurant to say farewell to one of the Trampers Laura who will be returning to Singapore by end May 2013.

Please bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, good shoes, gloves and a hat, as well as mosquito repellant.  Also, bring some lunch for along the way. If it is raining or threatening to rain, the walk will still go ahead but we may change the route accordingly.  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call the hot line 8209-0517.  Please don't be late.  The 10 minutes rule is in force.
