On the last day of the Year Rabbit (22 January 2012) my friends and I will do a HEA (leisure) walk in Lam Chuen, Tai Po area. We have done a similar walk at the start of the Year Rabbit on 6 Feb 2011.
This will be a short one-boot walk that will end before 3:00pm, allowing ample time for us to do last minute shopping, house cleaning, or visit to Lunar New Year Flower fairs.
Those who are interested to join please assemble at 10:30am, Tai Po Market MTR Station (near the ticketing office), on 22 January 2012. We will take taxi to the Wishing Tree to start our walk. We will visit some flower plantations and old villages in the Tai Po area.
Depending on the weather and whimsy of fellow trampers, we will adjust our route as appropriate. Nevertheless, the idea is HEA and to end the walk at a MTR station at around 3:00.
Please bring along the usual gear, sufficient water and food, rain / sun protection, rain jacket and wind breaker. Proper hiking attire, good hiking shoes and gloves are recommended. The weather forecast is not that gorgeous this Sunday, so please come prepared.
