All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

1.   We are going to enjoy an easy trail in the North Eastern New Territories this Sunday.

2.     We will meet at 11:00am at the Customer service / Ticket office, just outside the turnstiles of the Tai Po Market MTR Station.  We will share taxis or mini bus to Wu Kau Tan and start the walk.

3.     The first part of the walk will be pretty flat and we will descend to the coast at Sam A Tsuen and then Lai Chi Wo.  After heading up to Fan Shui Au at about 200m, we will descend again to the seashore at Kuk Po where is facing the border - Sha Tau Kok, Shenzhen.  A waterfront concrete-path will lead us to Luk Keng and end the walk.

4.   Soft drinks & Soybean pudding will be available along the trail.

5.   Bring all the usual things, a lunch, water, a torch, sun block, mos- spray and rain gear.  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk may be cancelled.  If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.

6.   PLEASE READ MY NOTES AND DISCLAIMER BELOW BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THIS WALK.

Note:-

(1) Please note that this walk may finish late due to a host of different reasons.  The duration given on top of this walk proposal is only a rough estimate.  We may have to walk longer than the estimated time and so there is a possibility that we'll walk in the dark (i.e. after sunset).  It is prudent that you bring a small torch with you to this walk.

(2) The following people should not join this walk:- (a) those who do not want to take any/little risk in outdoor activities e.g. being lost and stranded in the mountains. (b) those who would grumble about things that do not turn out the way they want them to.

Disclaimer:- People join this walk and any other walks organised by me at their own risks.  I shall not be held responsible in any way for any injury or death incurred or any loss or damage to personal property caused due to whatever causes including, but not limited to, negligence, neglect, errors of judgement and inadequate orientation skills on my part.  The fact that you show up at the time and place on the day to join the walk is an implication that you have agreed to and accepted unconditionally this disclaimer.

Ringo.
