We will do a long walk this coming Sunday, January 18.  Despite the distance, it is still very manageable as nothing really over 500 metres but still gets a three booter rating due to the distance. Basically, we will do the Plover cover circuit including the longish extension.

We will meet outside the ticket window at Tai Po KCR at 10h:21m:32s AM - Please note the earlier meeting time. We will share cabs or take a minibus to Wu Kau Tang. The usual ten minute waiting rule applies. 

This walk is quite long about 27 kilometres and is up and down all the way. The views are just spectacular. Please note there might be a little bit of bushwhacking so pl come prepared with long pants. Due to the length it will be quite a fast paced walk.

Pl note there are always detours that catch our fancy so please carry a torch.

After the hike it is mandatory to go to our favourite Thai restaurant with the free ice cream.

Do carry a couple of litres of water and an extra layer will help as it is usually quite windy there. Remember to bring all the usual gear, in particular some snacks, good shoes and a hat. Also, bring some lunch for along the way.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk will not be cancelled. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. And remember -- don't be late!
