In spring Francis had led a great hike to the Fo Tan/Grassy Hill area. It was dark, gloomy and people disappeared into the jungle (... all this not because of the hike leader, but due to the weather and the resulting slippery grounds). We will repeat the hike this coming Sunday to enjoy the beautiful scenery in sunlight and (hopefully!) without slippery slopes. The hike is a 3-booter because the first part requires bushwhacking straight uphill for at least 1.5 hours. Afterwards, we will follow overgrown old village trails and end the hike in the Tai Po Road area.
Do come prepared and bring the usual gear, in particular lots of water, snacks and lunch, a torch, umbrella/rain gear, sun blocker, a hat and proper hiking shoes. Long trousers are recommended for those who do not want to give the mini skirt a miss for the next two weeks.
No hotline will be activated for this hike.
