All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

I am not sure if you guys have noticed but it is really hot ya so we do a two booter hike this Sunday. The plan is to walk all the three colour coded trails of Tai Po Kau which is a beautiful nature reserve. This walk is still quite long with a little bit of uphill but the best part is that it is shaded and we might get to see some nice flora and fauna. For the most part this walk is relatively flat.

We will meet outside the turnstiles near the ticket windows close to the taxi stand at 11.00 am at Tai Po Market KCR and then share taxis to the starting point so please carry some change for the ride.

We will start the walk on the yellow coloured trail. Now for the novice you might think that the path is painted yellow but it is not so ok. We will crisscross from one to the other and might have to walk on the same trail for short sections.

Please carry at least three litres of water/pocari, wear light coloured cotton clothes and a hat for proper protection from the sun. Do carry sweets or salty snacks or some chocolate. Suggest also to drink plenty of water in the morning before starting the hike.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk will not be cancelled. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. The ten minute waiting rule applies and remember not to be late!
