All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

We have been accused of many things and have never let it bother us continuing usually in our own inimitable way. But recently someone had the gall to call us 'sane' and we take things like this really personally. This is just not acceptable so I call upon ye all fellow trampers to fight this tide of sanity that threatens to pervade our land.

Therefore this coming Saturday on the Sixteenth day of August we shall gather at Choi Hung MTR near Exit C at 9 pm in the evening to battle this enemy. We shall take the public chariot to Pak Tam Au and march to the Ham Tin battlefield. Here we shall lay a siege, pitch our tents, swim and feast before making our final preparations.

At three am when the darkest hour is upon us we shall rise silently from our slumber and begin our ascent of Sharp Peak. On the morning of the Seventeenth of August my fellow trampers we shall stand victorious on top of Sharp Peak to greet the rising sun. This day will go down in the annals of Tramper history as one where we stood up and showed the hiking world that " We Are Insane!"

To join this battle you must carry the following weapons in your armour:

  • Three litres water
  • Torch is an absolute must with spare batteries
  • Snacks / Dinner to share / Collagen Candy
  • Walking stick if required
  • Swimming gear (for the waterborne attack)
  • Mozzie repellant
  • Mat or towel

Please note that this is a very difficult and dangerous hike so if we feel you are not up for it we will ask you not to join and this is at our discretion.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk plans will eb changed. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. And remember -- don't be late!

1. collagen candy.
Ok.. so truth is that i'm a keen hiker, pretty fit, 21y.o. Not so used to the humidity but i did a walk on lantau island on wednesday, up and over both sunset & lantau peaks.. no problem. but i'm guessing the walk to come will be a bit tougher than that..

but, i am not an experienced night hiker. i've walked early mornings to reach a point for sunrise before... thats about it.

i beleive that i'm up for it, but its up to you guys of course.

also, what is collagen candy, or more importantly, where can i buy it??

thanks folks,
steph :)
