All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

I have absolutely no clue as to which route we will take this Sunday so on Saturday night I shall throw a dart at the Sai Kung map and we shall begin from there. May be there are some hills on the way or may be not. There might be a trail or may be not. There may be a swimming opportunity or may be not. There may be thundershowers with lightning or may be not. May be there is a late night finish or may be not. Basically we have no clue where we are going.

After this extremely reassuring description am quite sure some of you maybe excited but then may be not. We will meet outside the turnstiles near Exit C at 10.00 AM at Choi Hung MTR and then take minibus to Sai Kung followed by taxis to the starting point. Please note the revised meeting time.

Please note that this will be a long tough full on three boot hike whichever way you look at it so please come prepared to walk long distances with not many exits. Do carry meals for three days and a torch is an absolute must.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk will not be cancelled. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. The ten minute waiting rule applies and remember not to be late!

Bring all the usual gear, in particular at least three litres of water, rain gear or an umbrella, wear good shoes, a torch and a hat. Definitely carry sun block for protection from the rain. Also, bring some lunch and snacks for along the way.

1. Walk report
It just turned out to be a terrific weekend. On Saturday two Trampers got married – Caroline & Paul we wish you all the very best for your future. It was very considerate of you guys to marry on Saturday so that the crazy Tramper show could continue as usual.
On Sunday the hike turned out to be as billed. Twelve people met up and kicked off the hike from Pak Tam Au on Section 2 of the MacLehose. The first forty minutes was all concrete and unbelievably hot – we later came to know that it was 33 degrees in the New territories! At the turn off for Sharp Peak, three Trampers decided it was too h

2. Meeting in Saikung Town
Hey Vivek!

Saikung sounds great for Sunday and the weather should be good by the standard of the last 3 months! Would love to get to Grass Island, or do that river hike from the Tailong wan beach...but look forwards to a surprise.

We have a mini bus just down the road to our place straight to Saikung. Can we say 10.30am at the Circle K in Saikung as a 2nd meeting place?

Cheers - look forwards to seeing you in the hills on Sunday!
