All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

1. This is my turn to propose a "Friday Walk" on March 21st as most of the senior leaders will be out of town for Easter Break.

2. We'll meet at 11:00 a.m. this Friday,Mar 21,2008  at the Hang Seng mini-bank inside the Diamond Hill MTR Station and catch the bus  no.96R  to Pak Tam Chung and it will take about 45  minutes. Trampers can meet us alternativly at  Pak Tam Chung  bus terminus around 11:45a.m.

3. We will share the taxi to Chong Hing Water Sport Centre and start the walk to the East Dam of Highland Reservior.  On the way along the coast, we will visit Tai She Wan Village, Tung A Village, Pak Lap Beach, "Muk Min" sea cave, Po Pin Chau and end the walk. (Unless you want to walk further back to Pak Tam Chung, we will take a taxi back to the bus terminus.)

Remember to bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, good shoes, stuff that glows in the dark.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk will be cancelled. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call  91230365. The ten minute waiting rule applies and remember not to be late!

Disclaimer:- People join this walk at their own risks.  I shall not be held responsible in any way for any injury or death incurred or any loss or damage to personal property caused due to whatever causes including, but not limited to, negligence, neglect, errors of judgment and inadequate orientation skills on my part.  The fact that you show up at the time and place on the day to join the walk is an implication that you have agreed to and accepted unconditionally this disclaimer.

1. WALK REPORT ON MARCH 21, 2008
TAKING CHANCE OF EASTER HOLIDAY, SIX TRAMPERS STARTED THE EASY TRAIL FROM
"CHONG HING" WATER SPORTS CENTRE WHERE WAS THE FORMER CAMP-SITE FOR THE
BOAT REFUGEES FROM VIETNAM. WITH HAZY AND COOL WEATHER, WE REACH TAI SHE
WAN VILLAGE AND THE FISH FARMING VILLAGES, PAK A (NORTH BAY) AND TUNG A (EAST
BAY) WHERE WERE VERY FAMOUS ON SEAFOOD ESPECIALLY "URCHIN".
BY THE TIME WE ARRIVED AT PAK LAP BEACH, IT WAS ALMOST 2:50PM. WITHIN TWENTY
MINUTES, WE HEADED UP TO A SPUR AND IT BEGAN THE HIGHTLIGHT OF THE DAY. IT WAS
THE "CHOPSTICKS" CLIFFS AND ALL OF US WERE BRAVE ENOUGH TO WALK ALONG THE EDGE
OF IT (AS SOME OF US DID NOT NOTICE HOW EXCITING IT WAS WHEN WE WERE ON THAT
PARTICULAR PATH). AFTER TAKING GROUP PHOTOS, WE RUSHED INTO THE NEXT HEADLAND
FOR THE "MUK MIN" SEA CAVE WHICH WAS FORMED BY WAVES EROSION AND WE COULD
NEARLY WALKED THROUGH DUE TO THE LOW WATER TIDE.
BEFORE FINISHING THE 6 HOURS WALK, WE GOT CLOSE TO PO PIN CHAU (BROKEN EDGE
ISLAND) AND WE WERE REFRESHED BY THE SPECTACULAR VIEW OF THE "WATERFALL" CLIFFS.
AT 6:00PM, WE RETURNED TO SAI KUNG BY TAXI FROM EAST DAM TO END THE GREAT DAY
ALONG THE SEA-SHORE.
