All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

This Sunday 1st May 2005 we’ll do a two boot walk on west Lantau.  We’ll meet at 11.00am at outside the Heng Seng Bank inside the Tung Chung MTR Station.   We’ll take Bus No.23 from outside the MTR Station to Ngong Ping (i.e. the Po Lin Monastary) where the Big Buddha sits.  From Ngong Ping, we’ll walk to Tai Fung Au, up to Kwun Yum Shan (434 metres), and across to Keung Shan (439 metres).  After Keung Shan, we’ll head a bit further south before we turn north after reaching Ling Wu Shan.  We’ll reach Tai O via Man Cheung Po at around 6.00 pm

2.  This walk should not be difficult for the average person.  I would rate this as a two booter.

3.  Please bring enough water, a lunch and rain gear.

4.  Should it rain in the morning on the day, please call the Trampers Hotline 8209-0517 to check if this walk is cancelled.
