All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

Last week we could not quite make it to Stoep and since then am dreaming of spring chicken and tipsy tart and not to forget the garlic bread so we have to make our way there this Sunday. As promised this is going to be a belter and when you see the map it will make you wonder how it is possible to reach the Stoep from Discovery Bay. Well then just read on…..

We will meet outside the Discovery Bay Ferry Pier in Central to take the 9.30 am ferry  -  Please note the revised meeting time and do not be late. Those meeting us at DB guess we should be there around ten am. We will start walking from DB itself and immediately it is a long ascent up Tiger’s head. After that we have to find our way up Por Kai Shan then Pok To Yan. This is a very difficult steep route and we plan to hike on the ridge that  continues on to the summit of Lin Fa Shan. This is a very tough walk. Moreover have not been able to recce this hike so expect a lot of wrong turns and backtracking. The hike should take about 7 hours and is a very tough three boot walk.

You must carry a torch with spare batteries and wear proper hiking shoes.

The forecast is for a bit of rain so please carry some sort of rain gear. Pl carry snacks, lunch, three litres of water and some energy bars.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk may be cancelled. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. And remember -- don't be late!
