All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

I have never been to Lion Rock.  This Sunday, 21st October,I plan to do a three to four hour walk between Lion Rock Park and Kam Shan Country Park, which of course will include passing over Lion Rock itself.

We will meet at Diamond Hill MTR station at 11:00 am on the station concourse (at the turnstiles).  We will share taxis to Sha Tin Pass, and from here head off to the rock, and then West towards Kam Shan Park.  We might look around the resevoir and then head south to civilisation.

The walk is rated two boots for the hike up to Lion Rock.  Else, the aim is to do a pleasant hike past the monkeys and to the resevoir.

Please remember to bring all of the usual gear - lunch, a torch, sun block, mosquito spray and if the weather looks dodgy, rain gear.  In particular, some sturdy shoes.  There is no where along the way to purchase drinks, so ensure that you bring enough water.

If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk might be cancelled. If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
