All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

*excludes travelling time

This weekend we will climb up Sharp Peak.  We will meet on Sunday at 10:30 am on the station concourse at Choi Hung MTR; next to the Circle K which is near exit C.

We will take the minibus to Sai Kung and then either the 96R or share taxi to Wong Shek Pier.  We will then negotiate for a speed boat to the pier at Sha Tau.

Starting at sea level (as all purist mountain climbers do), we will head North Eastwards and upwards to pass over Nam She Au en route to Sharp Peak.  Once the mountain has been conquered, and the obligatory pictures taken to prove it, we will head to the coast and then South to Sai Wan.  We may make a ten minute detour to the pool in the Kap Man Hang stream if there is interest in a cool dip and dive.

We will then be at Sai Wan beach, where we can have a drink before marching the 30 minutes up to the mini bus to take us home.

Please bring the usual gear, plenty of water, towel, sturdy hiking shoes and a changeclothes.  If it is raining hard or thunderstorms are threatening, the walk might be cancelled. If in doubt, call the trampers hotline 8209-0517 in the morning.
