All our walks are led by volunteers and are planned one week in advance.  If you don't see an itinerary on our homepage, that means no one has proposed anything yet.  And if one is not posted by Saturday, you can safely assume that there is no walk the following day.

We communicate via our website and we do not maintain a mailing list.

We will do a very long walk this coming Sunday, July 1, 2007.  This will be rated as a three booter due to the length. As we will be walking in the dark, a torch with fresh batteries is compulsory to join this hike. We will start off on Hong Kong trail and then switch to the Wilson Trail.

We will meet outside Pacific Coffee up on top of Victoria Peak at 12.00 Noon. You can take the Peak Tram from Central or alternatively there are several buses from Central Bus station going up to the peak. This walk is about 30 kilometres and is relatively flat for the first few hours. There are a couple of ascents near Jardine's Lookout after which we plan to find our way to Hung Hong Ho Hill near Cecil's ridge. There are some beautiful wooded sections and sometimes it is hard to believe that you are just a stone's throw from Central. Please come prepared with torches and extra snacks / meal as it is a long day out. We will walk quite rapidly at about 4- 5 kmph to ensure reaching our destination in time and finish around 9 pm. There are ample opportunities to exit the hike earlier for anyone who chooses to do so.

The trampers' made a call to Mr Donald T and he has acquiesced to our request. He will put on a small fireworks show over Victoria Harbour and has informed us to get over Hung Hong Ho Hill by 7 pm for vantage positions.

If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517. And remember -- don't be late! The ten minute waiting rule applies.

Remember to bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water, torch, good shoes, lunch, rain gear and a hat. Also, bring some snacks for along the way.
