Greetings all. Have been away again. Sorry.

Next Sunday, am planning an easy walk on Lantau Island, along the coast from Tai O to Tung Chung.

We will meet at the Mui Wo Ferry Pier in Central at 11.15 am on Sunday 18 October, in order to catch the 11.30 ferry to lantau. We'll arrive in Mui Wo about 12.30. Those who live on Lantau should meet us at the Mui Wo pier. We will then catch a bus to Tai O, where we'll have lunch at one of the many restaurants. After lunch, we'll head off toward Tung Chung. The path is quite mild, and runs along the coast. There are lovely views out to sea. You will also see the airport from a very different perspective as we get closer to Tung Chung. The walk should take about 3 hours, so we can expect to be in Tung Chung before 5.30. From there, there are buses, trains etc to take people wherever they want to go.

Bring some water. Also an umbrella to keep off rain or sun. If it is raining heavily on that morning, the walk will be cancelled. Also bring any friends who enjoy walking
